Tool Holder to spindle interface

The interface between the spindle and the hold comes in Three main types HSK, CAT, and BT, with each type there are different sizes.

HSK-32A and HSK-32E

HSK Form 32 E (HSK-E) tool holders are designed for automatic tool change machines. With the elimination of drive keys and tool orientation features, HSK-E tool holders are easy to balance and are ideal for very high speed machining up to 60,000rpm spindles, mostly used for micro machining.

HSK-63A

HSK Form A (HSK-A) tool holders are the most commonly used HSK taper. HSK-A tool holders are designed for automatic tool change and have tool orientation features on the flange or locking keyways. HSK-63a is the best choice for hard milling applications because of the rigidity and balance of the holder. HSK-63a holders can be balanced to 30,000rpm. HSK-63F And HSK-63E

HSK Form F (HSK-F) tool holders are designed for high speed machining and automatic tool change. HSK-F tool holders are frequently used in Graphite machines.

HSK Form E (HSK-E) tool holders are designed for automatic tool change. With the elimination of drive keys and tool orientation features, HSK-E tool holders are easy to balance and are ideal for very high speed machining.

HSK-100

HSK-100 tool holders are made for large machines with automatic tool change that dont have more then 10,000 rpm spindle, they are designed for high torque milling applications(roughing) but are still balanced and percise enough for finishing applications.
